Dr. Kelly is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a National Certified Counselor, a consultant, an entrepreneur, and an Adjunct Faculty-Student Supervision site supervisor with Grand Canyon University.
For her own self care, she has practiced Yoga for over 20 years, enjoys running, Pilates, mountain biking, painting on canvas, traveling, cooking, gardening, and reading.

Dissertation: The topic of her dissertation study, Losing a Warrior-Becoming a Wounded Healer: An Inquiry of Grief and Loss, used an ethnographic methodology to explore the grief experience of parents after the death of their child, and identified a grief model specific to parent loss.

Give an Hour-She is provider for the Give an Hour foundation, which is a non-profit organization that provides free and confidential psychotherapy to military personnel and their families who have been and are being affected by the current conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq.
The Trevor Project-A non-profit organization focused on crisis intervention and the prevention of suicide in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning population.
